Valve repair & overhaul
We repair, overhaul and test industrial valves so they can go back into service with a documented test result, in our workshop or at your site.

Overview
Valve repair and overhaul is the core of TMI's work and the activity the company was set up for in 2021. Each valve is dismantled, cleaned and inspected, damaged parts are repaired or replaced, and the valve is reassembled and tested before it is returned.
At the end of an outage you should be confident your valves will work throughout the next production cycle. Alongside repair, TMI offers valve diagnostics that estimate mean time to failure (MTTF), so maintenance can be planned before a valve fails.
The work covers the main valve types found on process and utility systems, including control and safety valves, motor operated valves, wellhead valves, blowout preventers (BOPs) and welded valves. Repair is carried out at the TMI workshop, or at site when removing the valve is impractical.

Common questions
Which types of valve does TMI repair?
TMI repairs gate, globe, check, plug, ball, butterfly, control and safety relief valves, motor operated valves, wellhead valves, blowout preventers (BOPs) and welded valves, and refurbishes pneumatic, hydraulic and electric actuators.
Which valve brands does TMI service?
Control and manual valves from Baker Hughes (Masoneilan), Fisher, Samson, Valtec, JC, Rotork, Neles, Flowserve, Severn Glocon, Cameron, Koso and IMI CCI, among others.
Does TMI work on wellhead valves and BOPs?
Yes. Repair, overhauling and testing of wellhead valves and blowout preventers (BOPs) is part of TMI's scope of work.
Can valves be repaired on site instead of at the workshop?
Yes. Work is carried out at the TMI workshop in Bahrain or at the customer's site, depending on what suits the valve and the shutdown plan.
Are valves tested after repair?
Yes. Repaired valves are pressure tested before they are returned to service.
